Duo chase German ace

Hoffenheim face a battle to keep hold of midfielder Kerem Demirbay as Liverpool and Arsenal are keen to sign him.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is looking for creative reinforcements following the departure of Philippe Coutinho, and it is now claimed that Demirbay is on his radar.

RB Leipzig star Naby Keita will complete his switch at the end of the season but he could be joined at Anfield by another Bundesliga star, if reports are to be believed.

The Germany international has caught the eye and both Liverpool and Arsenal have told Demirbay’s agent they are willing to pay the £28million release clause in his contract.

The 24-year-old is in hot demand though and competition for his signature will be fierce, with Merseyside rivals Everton, along with AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Schalke and Borussia Dortmund also said to be keen.
