The midfielder signed for the Potters from Galatasaray in a £14million deal on Wednesday night and he’s in line to feature when the Potters go to the Vitality Stadium this weekend.
Boss Paul Lambert says he will assess the new arrival and decide whether to plunge him straight into his starting line-up.
Lambert said: “He says he is ready to go, he wants to play matches and is clearly in good shape, but I will judge everything tomorrow (Friday).
“He is certainly going to improve the side moving forward because he is a very talented boy, who is hugely important for his country and has been equally as important for Galatasaray this season.”
Lambert has no new injury worries for the clash but could change things around with Peter Crouch and January signing Konstantinos Stafylidis among those pushing for starts.
